When deciding on your photographer you often want to know something about them, what sort of person they, their style and practice, and what they want to achieve.

I am a professionally qualified photographer, holding a BA (hons) in Photography and an HND in Photography and Digital Imaging, in addition I have achieved Certificates in Professional Development in Photoshop for Web and Graphic Design and Dreamweaver & Web Standards and a qualified member of the British Institue of Professional Photographers.

I confess that I have a weakness for cameras, computers and photographic equipment and practice. Because of my background in the music industry I came to photography through the digital route and have been using digital cameras and the digital darkroom for many years. But even though it may be back to front, I have developed a particular fondness for Medium Format and Large Format film cameras, developing my own films and printing in the darkroom and will use them whenever there is an opportunity to. Unfortunately those opportunities becoming less and less in the professional world, as many clients require the quick turn around and editing that is provided by digital.

My practical skills have been developed through commissions and projects in many places, with different people and working with, and alongside some very able photographers.

One of the most frequently asked questions of me is what sort of service can my client expect from me.

I believe clients not only want the photographer to exhibit style and flair, but also professionalism and technical ability. They want to be confident their job will be done properly, and done well. Photography is, in that overused phrase, a passion for me. From start to finish I want the work to be as good as it possibly can be.

That is why I guarantee that I will use all reasonable skill, care & diligence; work to an agreed schedule;deliver to an agreed budget; provide the highest quality product possible. Whilst service and good communication with the client are an important part of my work.

Clients have often commented on how relaxed I appear when working, but I am always focused on my work, looking to get the best, and better, shots.
